This Privacy Policy explains how Wrenio Studio, a trading name of Techno Assist, registered in the Netherlands (Chamber of Commerce / KvK no. 39097485) ("we", "us", "our"), handles personal data. We are the data controller. It covers our website (wrenio.studio), our WordPress plugins, and our applications, including Wrenio ClipWise for Windows and macOS ("ClipWise").
We keep data collection to a minimum and we do not sell your personal data. We do not use Google Analytics, advertising pixels, or third-party tracking scripts on our website.
01When you visit our website
- Contact form — your name, email address, an optional subject, and your message, so we can reply and keep a record of our correspondence. Submissions are delivered to us through Web3Forms (see section 8).
- Server logs — our host (SiteGround) records IP address, browser user-agent, and timestamps for security and debugging.
- CDN & security — Cloudflare processes IP address and request metadata to deliver the site and protect against abuse.
- Cookies — our website is a static site and sets no cookies of its own. We use only strictly necessary cookies where a provider requires them (for example, Cloudflare for security). No advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies.
02When you buy a product
We sell through resellers that act as the merchant of record: Paddle (Paddle.com Market Limited) for applications including ClipWise, and Freemius for WordPress plugins. When you buy, you provide your payment and billing details directly to the reseller, who processes them as an independent controller under its own privacy policy and handles tax. We receive only limited order information — such as your email address, the product or plan, your country, and subscription status — to deliver the product and provide support.
03When you use a ClipWise account
ClipWise Managed AI requires an account. To sign you in, we collect your email address and send a one-time sign-in code; we store your account record and authentication sessions with our backend infrastructure provider (Supabase). We use this to give you access to your plan, apply your usage allowance, and secure your account.
04When you use ClipWise Managed AI
- Content you submit for an AI action (for example text or an image you choose to summarize, translate, or extract) is sent to our backend and on to our AI provider, currently Google (Gemini), routed via Cloudflare's AI gateway, to generate your result and return it to you. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we retain it only as needed to provide and secure the service.
- Usage data — we record the number and type of AI actions and timestamps, to enforce plan quotas and fair-use limits, to bill correctly, and to detect abuse.
- Bring your own key — if you connect your own AI provider (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, or a local Ollama model), your content is sent directly from your device to that provider under your own account; it does not pass through our servers, and we do not receive it.
05Data stored only on your device
Your clipboard history, your app settings, and any third-party API keys you enter are stored locally on your own computer (in a local database and local storage). This data stays on your device — we do not collect, transmit, or have access to it.
06App updates
ClipWise periodically checks updates.wrenio.studio for new versions. As with any web request, our delivery provider (Cloudflare) may log your IP address and request metadata for this purpose.
07Legal bases (GDPR)
- Performance of a contract — to provide the Products, accounts, and managed AI you request.
- Legitimate interests — to secure our services, prevent abuse, and keep records of correspondence.
- Legal obligation — to meet tax and accounting duties (handled largely by our resellers).
- Consent — where we rely on it (for example, contacting us via the form); you can withdraw consent at any time.
08Who we share data with
We share personal data only with service providers acting on our behalf, or with resellers acting as independent controllers for payments:
- Paddle and Freemius — payment processing and merchant-of-record services.
- Supabase — backend hosting, account authentication, and usage metering.
- Google (Gemini) and Cloudflare (AI gateway) — processing of managed-AI requests.
- SiteGround — website hosting; Cloudflare — CDN and security.
- Web3Forms — delivering contact-form messages to us; Gmail — our internal mailbox for messages you send us.
We do not sell personal data or share it for third-party advertising.
09International transfers
Some of these providers may process data outside the European Economic Area (for example in the United States). Where that happens, we rely on appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect your data.
10Data retention
We keep contact-form messages for as long as the conversation is active plus a reasonable period afterward. We keep account and usage data while your account is active and for a reasonable period after closure, as needed for support, billing, and legal records. Server logs are kept for a limited period set by our providers.
11Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, port, restrict, or object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise any of these, contact hello@wrenio.studio. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or your local supervisory authority.
12Children
Our Products are not directed at children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their personal data.
13Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "last updated" date above and, where changes are material, take reasonable steps to notify you.
14Contact
